New Adventures of the steggunbuH Team!
73Let me RE-ESTABLISH us, the Hubnugget Pickers Team!
We, the nugget-pickers are stationed on the sometimes 'Good Ship' other times not so 'Good Ship' Hubbertise with the ever on-going mission to boldly go where no Hub has ever gone before, to
explore strange new Hubs, to seek out new writers and new content, ... AND TO DO something about Ensign HubNugget Hank...
The criteria to be considered a ‘hubnugget wannabe’ is as followes
A HubNugget Wannabe is a great hub written within the past seven days by a new, less then two months old hubber. It is then chosen by the team and added onto the list of the current week's HubNugget contest.
Although this list of new hubber hubs is vast (thousands and thousands of hubs), the team narrows the number of choices down to just six in three categories. Those eighteen finalists are then showcased in the weekly HubNuggets hub, whereupon open voting begins via a poll capsules in each category.
A few how to write great HubNuggets Tips
- Write your Hub on an interesting topic filled with original content
- Write from your
experience or point of view
- About 750-1000 words or so is a
good length
- Give it an attention grabbing title
- Check your spelling and grammar
- Emphasize the content with some photos and or a relevant video
- Give photo/video source
acknowledgements
- Add links and RSS feeds

Ensign Hubnugget Hank, (the pain in the watoosy platypus) is practicing his yodeling while tango-ing (totally under the illusion that he will be giving the Cap'n a run for her money at the 'Universe Idol' competition)
- at the edge of the Mirror realm...
the Hubbertise guided by 'Otto Pilot'
I'm guilty, I admit it. This might possibly be my last report before my court Marshal as I'm the reason we're up to our knees in the proverbial 'chicken poop' pile.
"...up to the knees? Doesn't seem so bad" you say---
well what you don't seem to realize is that we all went in head first...
Let me back track a bit... Last week BT asked if I would give him a haircut. With the summer on it's way he feels he would be less hot if some of his oh-so-luxuriously-silky-soft-cashmere-fur had a good trim. (I suspect he needed money to feed his butter-tart addiction and I bet he was planning to sell his 'wool' on the black market...) but that's none of my business, if he wants to walk around with the pink of his skin showing...
To make a short story long, which I'm famous for, I had been practicing with my new hair-cutting tool, you may recall this picture of a few weeks ago. I was in the midst of getting a really good angled swing aimed at the section of fur between BT's antlers, when that cursed platypus Hank stormed onto the bridge yodeling and tango-ing with a red silk flower stuck in his bill --- and all within a split second mayhem broke loose.
I lost my focus and lost the grip on the hair-cutting tool. It twisted and as it flew through the air it mowed down a strip of fur, starting from the tip of poor BT's powder puff tail to the tip of his nose, all the way down to the wood. It barely missed his over-sensitive whiskers by less than half the thickness of a hare... I meant to say hair.
The hilt of the hair-cutters hit 'THE' mirror. After a loud snap, clap, bang, boom, a jagged lightning bolt crack burst through THE mirror from one side right to the other. A loud swishing, I mean Niagara falls roaring loud and the Hubbertise dipped this way and that way, over, under and then turned itself inside out while it plowed right through the crack in the mirror.
Thus we became the 'steggunbuH srekciP meaT' all within a split second...
As soon as the ship straightened out, on an even keel of sorts, the whole crew spilt onto the bridge in a hurry. Forgotten were the song lyrics, spam, the mouse, the funky flit-around car and even the reverse Mohawk haircut.
Cap'n Shirley, after double checking and making sure that the whole crew was all right sent a space-mail to Commanders Jason and Maddie assuring them that we were okey dokey and she would get back to them with details about the time portal mishap soon. She would also send along next weeks list of hubnugget wannabes.
Looking out of the Portholes of the Hubertise this frightening scene is what meet our eyes.
This was definitely a view that gave us the clue that we were no longer in our own neck of the woods.
These are our new neighbors for the time being.
Mrs Flintstone and Mrs Rubble welcomed us to the neighborhood with a 'to-die-for' pot of stone soup. And the best ribs I have ever had. The recipes to follow later.
Such well mannered children too.
One major draw back --- the mosquitoes are the size of Pterodactylus --- No wait, those aren't mosquitoes, that swarm heading our way really is Pterodactyl.
We also met a fellow time traveler who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, the customs etc. He even gave us the whole spiel about the neighborhoods relaxing spots.
He couldn't stress it enough though that we were not to go out alone at night and to make sure we didn't feed the local wildlife. And just in case we were of a mind to camp out, to hang up our garbage bags way-up in the trees --- 150 feet high+ --- the higher the better.
It was Cap'n Shirley, who had spent a lot of time in front of the mirror rearranging them corkscrew curls, who figured out the timing sequence of the time portal with the help of 'fellow-stuck-in-a-time-warp' Gazzoo.
We would only have one opportunity every seven days to power up the ship with enough juice to push through the time portal of this
mirror realm which would hopefully land us back home into our own time zone...
Unfortunately with the mirror being cracked we could not be sure how well it works or in fact works at all. We, the 'steggunbuH srekciP meaT', might be here for a long time, or maybe just a good time.
Only time will tell.........
Afterword!
Ensign Hank being of the superstitious type sits in a corner worrying about the seven years of bad luck from the broken mirror and keeps chanting "there's no place like home, there's no place like home..." while clicking his heels together... He has gone as far as used a red permanent marker to paint his combat boots red.

Jim, always glad when you drop by for a visit. That 100 hubber score is a fickle little number it comes and goes just as quick and I wouldn't be honest if I said that it doesn't matter to me... it feels nice when it does show up... and then when it's gone I feel I have to try twice as hard to get it back.
You will get there soon too.
kindest regards Zsuzsy
